Costa Mesa Home Damaged in Tow Truck Crash
June 4, 2012 - According to reports a tow truck crashed into a Costa Mesa home Monday afternoon. According to Costa Mesa Police Department Lt. Bob Ciszek the accident occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. in the 300 block of 20th Street in Costa Mesa.
Lt. Ciszek said the accident occurred when a tow truck was attempting to hook up to a vehicle. He said the driver was attempting to pick up a vehicle when the tow truck rolled up and struck the building.
Costa Mesa Fire Department personnel investigated the accident, Battalion Chief Kevin Diamond said. Battalion Chief Diamond said that no one was injured in the incident. Lt. Ciszek said that a there was not much damage done to the building, but a building inspector was called to the scene to ensure the home was safe.
