March 10, 2012 - According to reports a big rig crash caused traffic to be congested on the 55 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol the accident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the 55 Freeway in the vicinity south of the Edinger Avenue exit in Santa Ana.
California Highway Patrol officials said that the crash caused the big rig’s trailer to overturn. The big rig trailer overturned in the northbound lanes of the 55 Freeway, blocking the carpool lanes.
The cause of the tractor trailer crash has not been released, or if there were any other vehicles involved in the accident.
Motorists, according to California Highway Patrol officials can expect delays on the 55 Freeway.
