November 30, 2011 - According to reports two big rigs crashed causing the 60 Freeway to be closed in Hacienda Heights. According to Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Frank Reynoso, there was a collision between two big rigs Monday night at approximately 8:00 p.m. at the Azusa Avenue overpass in Hacienda Heights. The collision caused one of the trucks to catch fire that was extinguished in approximately 20 minutes.
Capt. Reynoso said, that neither one of the driver’s were injured in the collision and both trucks were hauling loads. One truck was transporting animal feed and the other was hauling textiles that included tires. The California Highway Patrol closed the 60 Freeway in both directions and would not be reopened, until the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans determined that the overpass and roadway were not damaged in the collision. They were also investigating the accident scene.
According to Capt. Reynoso emergency personnel were clearing the contents that the big rigs were hauling and cleaning up the accident scene. He stated that there were no hazardous contents. Capt. Reynoso stated that traffic was backed up for miles in both directions and that it could affect the Tuesday morning commute. Big Rig Collision and Gravel Spill Close Highway 74
November 17, 2011 - According to reports a big rig collision and gravel spill closed down Highway 74. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada the collision occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Ortega Highway in the vicinity east of Antonio Parkway.
Officer Quesada stated that the collision involved a big rig hauling gravel and a van in the westbound lanes of Highway 74. The collision caused the tractor trailer to spill the load of gravel it was hauling causing the westbound lanes to be closed until approximately 11:35 a.m. while the lanes were cleared of debris.

Freeway SUV Rollover Injures One Person
November 11, 2011-According to reports an SUV rollover on the 91 Freeway resulted in injuries to one person.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada the SUV rollover accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. on the 91 Freeway, in the vicinity west of Weir Canyon Road in Anaheim.
CHP Officer Quesada stated that the SUV rollover was a single vehicle accident that blocked the No.3 and No. 4 lanes of the eastbound 91 Freeway.
According to a supervisor with MetroNet, one person involved in the SUV rollover accident was transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. A SigAlert was issued for both Nos. 3 and 4 lanes and was canceled at approximately 8:20 a.m.
