November 30, 2011 - According to reports two big rigs crashed causing the 60 Freeway to be closed in Hacienda Heights. According to Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Frank Reynoso, there was a collision between two big rigs Monday night at approximately 8:00 p.m. at the Azusa Avenue overpass in Hacienda Heights. The collision caused one of the trucks to catch fire that was extinguished in approximately 20 minutes.
Capt. Reynoso said, that neither one of the driver’s were injured in the collision and both trucks were hauling loads. One truck was transporting animal feed and the other was hauling textiles that included tires.
