October 24, 2011 - According to reports a Sunday afternoon motorcycle collision with a big rig tanker truck on the I-5 Freeway resulted in two deaths.
The accident according to the California Highway Patrol occurred during the 28th annual Love Ride at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the vicinity of Brandford Street in the northbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol stated that upon colliding with the big rig the operator of the motorcycle and his female passenger were both killed upon impact. According to Love Ride founder Oliver Shokouh, stated that he did not believe the riders were involved in the Love Ride. Shokouh said that this was a sad event and that his condolences go out to their families.
