May 26, 2011 - According to reports a big rig was involved in a truck accident collision on I-5 that injured one person.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada the big rig crash occurred at approximately 12:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 in the vicinity south of Santa Ana Boulevard in Santa Ana.
The big rig, a Penske rental truck was involved in a collision with a Honda Sedan resulting in extensive rear end damage to the Honda.
Officer Quesada stated that injuries were reported and at least one person was transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana for treatment. A SigAlert was issued for the No. 3,4,5 and 6 lanes, after emergency crews arrived and the fire engine blocked the four lanes of traffic.
