Big Rig Jack-Knifes on 22 Freeway and Shuts Down Lanes

December 16, 2010-According to reports a big rig jack-knifed on the 22 Freeway shutting down lanes. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Gabe Montoya a big rig jack-knifed in a crash that occurred at approximately 9:03 a.m.

The big rig was struck by a van that caused it to jack-knife in the eastbound lanes of the 22 Freeway in the vicinity of Haster Street at Fairview.

The crash blocked the No. 1,2, 3 and carpool eastbound lanes of the freeway, leaving only one lane open. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Montoya there were seven vehicles involved in the crash and there were no injuries reported. All the eastbound lanes of the 22 Freeway were cleared and reopened by 10:26 a.m.
